Pipe in pipe” or “double pipe” heat-exchangers made in Counter-flow or parallel –flow are useful for low flow and duty and could be accomplished of special inserts to increase the thermal efficiency. When a high temperature cross from the fluids is present, they are used in Counter-flow solution.
